Luna and I have two new pups -- Genni and Brandy. They are both really sweet girls -- pretty small, I think Genni is 17 lbs and Brandy is not much bigger. Luna was still scared spitless of them and did her usual flip-out at anyone/anything new. But - by the next morning all three were getting along just fine. Brandy is a puggle (pug/beagle mix) and is just a little minx. She chases Luna around and about. If Luna doesn't want to run, Brandy rams her full on in a broadside move OR she runs right up to Luna, balances that last step on her hind legs and then PUSHES Luna with her front feet in a vain attempt to knock Luna off balance. Since Luna is about 60 lbs and Brandy is probably around 20 lbs, you can see that Brandy doesn't have much hope of actually moving Luna -- but she does get her to chase and that is the whole point anyway. Brandy definately comes to us as a loved part of a family. The entire time she is riding in the car, she is eyeing the drivers lap waiting for just the right opportunity to sneak over before the driver recognizes that they are being stalked. She is also very comfortable on furniture -- and walks well on a leash. Brandy loves a good romp. Genni is definately more the white wine and refined activities type of dog. She has clearly been the apple of someone's eye and for those of you who are not yet aware let me just tell you the truth: The world revolves around Genni. She is a sweet, sweet girl who likes to be where you are, doing whatever you are doing. She loves riding in the car. Brandy sleeps curled in your knees and Genni takes the feet. They get along great with Luna and the two little dogs next door -- and they ignore the cat (which is more than I can say for Luna who has now been scratched and so she is actively watching for any renegade cat activity in the house). Brandy and Genni are delightful house guests and we are having fun with them here.
