Luna and I had a wonderful visit with Logan - he is full of energy and charm and only chewed one (minor) thing. They ran and play and tugged and wrestled -- and then he went home. He was so excited to see his Mom back, he left me and Luna without even a backward glance. He has a very nice, new family and we are so happy for him.
I've been working with the kitties because of other volunteers' vacations -- that Internet kitty has been adopted and so has Smokey! Two new Siamese are now in the store -- Seal Point and a Himalayan, I think but I'm not that familiar with the different types of Siamese. Two little Persians were found by the road by a woman jogger who thought they were dead so she sent her (very nice) husband up to check it out and he discovered they were OK - just laying really flat to try and hide from the coyotes. Those two are in the process of getting checked out before they will be ready to come into the store. We have so many kittens waiting for "store space" that JoAnne may try to rotate some of the kittens in first. Two of our recently adopted cats are back - Izzy and Note. Note hasn't been gone that long - maybe 2-3 months but his new person is moving into a no pet place and so he is back with us. Note came in scared and growling but he has settled in now and is much better. Izzy came into us with her kittens a few months ago. She is a small tabby cat and the sweetest temperment. Her owner said she was getting too much flack from the neighbors for letting Izzy outside so she was bringing her back. Well - YEAH! for the neighbors. There are too many hazards outside for a cat these days and Izzy is too sweet to be coyote dinner.
Peter and Paul are still there - they are such great cats. The one that looks most like a tiger lays up on the cat tree with his front paws completely straight and stretched out as far as he can -- he looks like a lion taking an afternoon siesta. Buddy has moved down to the end cage as it is a little bigger and the cats like an occasional change of scenery -- he has been at PetsMart long enough to get a different view. He is sure a nice cat -- just waiting for the right guy to come along and take him home.
